Accord Party House of Reps Candidate, Afolabi, Mourns Igangan Grand Chief Imam, Orimadegún

The Accord Party candidate for Ibarapa Central and North Federal Constituency, Hon. Afolabi Abiodun, has expressed shock and sadness over the passing of the Grand Chief Imam of Iganganland and Chairman, Ibarapa League of Imams and Alfas, Fahdilat Sheikh Alhaji Al-Imam Abdul Azeez Fasasi Orimadegún.

Afolabi described the late Islamic scholar as a complete gentleman, passionate Islamic leader, devoted cleric and a man of wisdom and humility, whose contributions to the religious and social development of Igangan and Ibarapa would remain memorable.

According to him, the death of the revered cleric is a great loss to his immediate family, the people of Igangan and the entire Muslim community across Ibarapa Land.

“I received with great shock the news of the passing of our revered Grand Chief Imam of Iganganland and Chairman of the Ibarapa League of Imams and Alfas, Fahdilat Sheikh Alhaji Al-Imam Abdul Azeez Fasasi Orimadegún.

“He was a complete gentleman, a lover of peace, great Islamic scholar, and Baba was also an embodiment of wisdom and humility. His departure is a great loss to his family, Igangan and the entire Muslim community across Ibarapa Land.

“My heartfelt condolences go to his family, the sons and daughters of Igangan, the Ibarapa Muslim community and all Muslim faithful.

“May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen.

“Rest in peace, our Baba Al-Imam, we will surely miss you.”

Afolabi prayed for strength and comfort for the deceased's family and the wider Igangan community during the period of mourning.
