ANBROAD Honours Toyin Amuzu With Patronship, Seeks Stronger Media-Public Leadership Partnership
The Association of Nigerian Broadcasters (ANBROAD), Ogun State Chapter, has conferred its Patronship Honour on the People's Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives candidate, Hon. Toyin Amuzu, in recognition of his support for the broadcasting profession and commitment to public service.
The honour was presented during a courtesy visit by the association's leadership, led by the Ogun State Governor of ANBROAD, Comrade Gbenga Goke-Fadiran, alongside the National Vice President I, Comrade Akinyemi Olatoye, and members of the state executive council.
Receiving the delegation, Hon. Amuzu expressed appreciation for the recognition, describing it as an honour he would cherish. He also apologised for his inability to attend the association's recent State Congress, explaining that prior official engagements prevented his attendance.
During the visit, Amuzu introduced the PDP candidates for the Ogun State House of Assembly in Abeokuta—Hon. Majekodunmi for Abeokuta Constituency I and Hon. Adeoye for Abeokuta Constituency II.
Speaking on behalf of the association, Comrade Gbenga Goke-Fadiran highlighted the indispensable role of broadcasters in strengthening democracy and promoting good governance. He noted that radio and television remain the foremost channels through which citizens receive timely and credible information, making broadcasters key partners in national development.
Also addressing the gathering, ANBROAD National Vice President I, Comrade Akinyemi Olatoye, commended Hon. Amuzu for his continued support for media professionals and his encouragement of initiatives aimed at advancing the broadcasting industry.
The highlight of the visit was the presentation of a Certificate of Recognition to Hon. Amuzu by Comrades Goke-Fadiran and Olatoye, officially decorating him as a Patron of ANBROAD, Ogun State Chapter.
The association expressed confidence that the honour would further deepen collaboration between broadcasters and public office holders while promoting professionalism, media development, and responsible public engagement across Ogun State.
