Pandemonium As Man Stabs Two To Death, Injures Three Others In Ifo Axis Of Ogun State
There was a pandemonium in Ifo axis of Ogun State over the
killing of two persons by a 25-year-old man over alleged unresolved business
disputes.
Three others were critically injured during the tragic
incident which occurred at the early hours of Tuesday in Olambe axis of Ifo
local government area of the state.
Police spokesperson, Oluseyi Babaseyi, who confirmed the
incident to newsmen in Abeokuta, the state capital, said the suspect which went
berserk allegedly armed himself with a knife and attacked the victims.
Babaseyi explained that the two of the victims identified as
Gbadamasi Ibrahim and Chinedu were rushed to the hospital where medical doctor
on duty confirmed them dead on arrival.
He added that three injured victims identified as Mohammed Abubakar,
Ashiru Adamu and Paul Lawrence are currently receiving medical treatment in a
critical condition.
According to him, the suspect upon committing the crime fled
the scene but he was trailed by the detectives to his hideout where he was
promptly arrested and he is currently in police custody undergoing
interrogation.
Babaseyi said the case has been transferred to the state
criminal investigation department (scid) for a comprehensive investigation and
prosecution.
Meanwhile, the state police commissioner, Bode Ojajuni, described
the attack as a barbaric act and assuring residents that justice will be
served.
