Orile Oko Community Rejects Koye Ijaduoye, Affirms Samson Adegboyega As Authentic Asiwaju Chieftancy Title Holder

 

Major key stakeholder in Orile Oko Community under the Remo North Local Government Area of Ogun State have rejected the alleged installation of Mr.Koye Ijaduoye as the new Asiwaju of Orile Oko by Oba Moses Oludotun Fadairo 

The ugly development which may degenerated into communal leadership Crisis if not addressed followed the installation of a new Asiwaju of Orile Oko chieftaincy title which is currently being hold by Chief Samson Adegboyega,

According to the key stakeholders including chiefs, women and youth leaders at a press conference organized by the Orile-Oko Traditional Council of Chiefs, Adegboyega who was installed by the late Oloko of Orile Oko, Oba Oseni, remained the authentic and accepted Asiwaju of Orile Oko and not the alleged impositor, Ijaduoye.

Speaking at a news conference in Abeokuta, the state capital, they stakeholders claimed that Chief Adegboyega, has consistently demonstrated respect for Orile-Oko's customs and traditions and never acted against the community's established norms and values 

The stakeholders explained that such decision contradicts the community's historical traditions, values and its ongoing development initiatives.

They added that Adegboyega has displayed unwavering commitment to the unity, progress and development of the community before and since he has bagged the chieftaincy title.

According to them, Koye Ijaduoye on contrary is well known for promoting division and disharmony within the Orile-Oko community including duping some residents of the community of unspecified amount of money.

"Among his many benevolent acts, Chief Samson Adegboyega has been instrumental in addressing the community's critical water supply issues, donating two operational boreholes -one at Ajana Primary School and another at Orile-Oko Community High School, Isan Orile-Oko. He has also generously donated educational materials and resources to support the youth and local schools, underpinning the community's social and educational advancement ", they lauded 

"His alleged involvement in continuous harassment of youths in the community through police actions has fostered an atmosphere of fear and unrest , undermining the peace and unity essential for the community's progress "

"His leadership is viewed as detrimental to the collective aspirations of the community "

"In light of these concerns, the Orile-Oko Youth community appeals to Governor of Ogun State and Akarigbo of Remo Kingdom to uphold the community's unity , traditions and peaceful co-existence by halting the installation of Mr.Koye Ijaduoye as Asiwaju of Orile Oko. The youths call for recognition and support of leadership that genuinely promotes development and harmony, such as that exemplified by Chief Samson Adegboyega", they stated 

The stakeholders who took turns to announced their rejection to the planned installation, said no installation has taken place in the community.

They, however, appealed to President Bola Tinubu, Governor Dapo Abiodun and the Akarigbo of Remoland , Oba Adewale Ajayi, to quickly wade into the matter, especially the planned installation of Koye Ijaduoye in order to pervert the matter to degerate into full blown crisis in the peaceful community 

In attendance are Bada of Orile Oko, Chief Olusesi Adebesin, Chief Olayinka Ogundare( Odofin), Chief Raheem Lawal and Chief (Olori-Odo) and Chief (Mrs) Tawa Ogunsola (Lika ), amon g others.

Also, speaking at the event, Pastor Silas Adegboyega, the younger brother of Chief Adegboyega, appreciated the stakeholders for renewing the strength of his elder brother and the entire family of Adegboyega in the struggle.

Seeking his reaction on the allegations raised against him on the controversial  Chieftaincy title, Ijaduoye declined comment, instead he directed our correspondent to seek clarification with Oba Moses Oludotun Fadairo, the new Oloko of Orile Oko.
