Ogun NUJ Patroness, Chief Mojisola Oni‑Quadri, Calls for Unity, Diligent Leadership After Council Election
The Patroness of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ogun State Council, Chief Mojisola Oni‑Quadri, has urged the newly‑re‑elected executives to promote unity among members, especially the aggrieved candidates and members during the recent council election.
Chief Oni-Quadri, made the appeal while receiving the NUJ Chairman, Comrade Wale Olanrewaju and his team at her office in Sapon, Abeokuta, the state capital.
She also called on the chairman to give greater attention to members’ welfare, assuring the union of her unwavering support as patroness.
The patroness’ remarks underscore a broader call for cohesion and responsible leadership within the Ogun State NUJ as it embarks on a new three‑year term.
According to her, there to uphold the tenets of their offices and discharge their duties with diligence and the standards expected of leaders.
The Chairman, Comrade Wale Olanrewaju, during the meeting, Comrade Wale Olanrewaju presented the newly elected executives who will lead the union for the next three years.
He used the opportunity to Inform the patroness of the preparation towards hosting a befitting Unity party on Monday December 22nd where all members will converge to celebrate and invitation will be extended to the aggrieved members.
The chairman therefore appreciated chief mrs Florence Mojisola Oni-Quadri for her contribution towards the development of Ogun NUJ.
