Okada Rider Allegedly Kills Wife In Yewa Axis, Hides Body Inside Sack

A motorcycle rider, identified as Godonu Lowe, is now in the police custody for allegedly killing his wife in Yewa axis of Ogun state.

The tragic incident occurred in their apartment located in Ilaro area of the state.

Spokesperson of the state police command, Omolola Odutola, who confirmed the incident to newsmen in Abeokuta, the state capital, said the suspect is now in the custody undergoing interrogation.

Odutola explained that the preliminary investigation had revealed a suspected domestic violence following the marks of violence, bleeding around the neck found on the body of the victim while a blood-stained cutlass was also recovered at the crime scene.

She added that the suspect upon killing his wife, hid the lifeless body in a sack and tied to the back of his motorcycle before he was intercepted by the security operatives during a stop-and-search operations.

“On Wednesday, 19th November 2025, at about 1305hrs, the Divisional Police Officer in Ilaro received credible information that a suspected felon, Godonu Lowe ‘m’ of Omolende Village via Idogo, was transporting the corpse of an unknown woman on a motorcycle in an attempt to escape from the community.

“Acting swiftly, police operatives intercepted the suspect and a sack tied to the back of his motorcycle was untied. The content was discovered to be the corpse of an adult female, later identified as his wife.

“The body bore marks of violence, bleeding around the neck, suggesting foul play. A blood-stained cutlass was recovered at the crime scene.”

Odutola said the body of the deceased wife had been deposited deposited in the norgue of the State Morgue in Ilaro for preservation and autopsy.
