Ogun Reinstates Suspended Ado Odo Ota Council Chairman

The suspended chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Council, Hon. Wasiu Lawal, has been reinstated

The development followed the intervention of the Ogun State Government which had summoned both the Chairman and the councilors.

The council lawmakers had suspended the Chairman, citing allegations of financial misappropriation, insubordination, and disregard for authority.

Newsreporter gathered that the state government brokered the peace during the emergency meeting to investigate the matter and hear from both sides.

Source privy to the meeting said after deliberations, the representatives of the State government managed to successfully mediated the dispute, leading to the Chairman's reinstatement.

The intervention is expected to put an end to the political crisis in the local government.
