Support Ongoing Reforms, Pro-Tinubu Coalition Tells Nigerians
Coalition of Registered Political Party Members (CORPAM-27) has asked Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for 2027 Presidential Election.
According to the group, the president has done remarkably well to deserve his completion the two term of eight years tenure as enshrined in the 1999 constitution as amended.
National Coordinator of the Coalition, Comrade Sunday Olaposi Oginni, who made the appeal while speaking on a radio programme "THE DIALOGUE" on Dynasty 89.9 fm Oyo township, said Tinubu had taken bold economic policies which required time to come into fruition.
Oginni explained that Tinubu should be supported to complete the ongoing reforms which ought to have been taken by the past administrations.
The Coalition Leader added that Nigerians hold other elective office holders such as State Governors, National and State Lawmakers,as well as Local Government Officials, responsible in their obligations to the masses.
According to him, while Tinubu is doing his best to make things work in Nigeria, other elected officials are not living up to their responsibilities, yet the masses still blame the president for their inefficiencies.
for instance, Oginni said the issue of local government autonomy is yet to be fully complied with by the state governors despite the supreme court pronouncement.
He further clarified the motive behind the formation of the coalition in support of the re-election bid of President Tinubu
"The coalition is the coming together of members of political parties who shared same beliefs in the renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu , especially in the ongoing reforms
"The decision cannot be termed as anti party activities because Nigerian Constitution provides the freedom of Association and the coalition doesn't compel any member of political parties to join by force but out of volition
"Nigerians need to stop blaming Tinubu for everything, the man has addressed many things the so called angels failed to do when they even have the golden opportunity to do so
"On LG autonomy, without any prejudice to any Governor, they need to support the full financial autonomy for the local government just as the President has done to make the government at grassroots viable" Oginni Concluded.
