A resounding endorsement rang through the historic town of Isaga-Orile in Ogun State on Sunday, as the Bishop of the Diocese of Yewa (Anglican Communion), Rt. Rev. Michael Adebayo Oluwarounbi, extolled the laudable achievements of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), describing his developmental strides as “unprecedented and divinely orchestrated.”
The Bishop made the glowing remarks during the 2025 Synod Thanksgiving Service of the Diocese, hosted by the Rev. Fry Memorial Anglican Church, Isaga-Orile. The well-attended event attracted a convergence of dignitaries, community leaders, clergy, and faithful across Yewaland and beyond.
In his address, Bishop Oluwarounbi applauded Senator Adeola for his people-centered representation, his unwavering commitment to infrastructural development, youth empowerment, and his visible impact in every community across Ogun West. According to him, “This is not just politics; this is purpose-driven leadership backed by vision and grace.” He noted that the emergence of Senator Adeola is a reflection that truly the siege in Yewa Land is broken, which aligns with the theme of the Synod.
“Yewa has witnessed a new era—an era of renewed hope, bold interventions, and visible transformation. From road infrastructure to education and health projects, Senator Adeola has proven to be a God-sent vessel,” the Bishop declared, to a chorus of amens from the congregation.
While calling on political leaders to emulate the senator’s style of purposeful service, Bishop Oluwarounbi urged the people of Yewaland and Ogun State at large to rally round Senator Adeola as he aspires toward another noble political ambition, one the Bishop refrained from disclosing but strongly hinted at.
“He has not failed us. He has given us reasons to believe again. When a man delivers on trust, he deserves a higher calling. Let us support him fully, for the journey ahead,” he added.
The Synod Thanksgiving, a pivotal annual event in the Anglican calendar, also featured scriptural exhortations, cultural presentations, thanksgiving offerings, and intercessory prayers for Ogun State and Nigeria at large.
