675 Ogun Pilgrims get airline ahead of May 9 Hajj airlift kick off

National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has allocated airline to airlift 675 Muslim Pilgrims from Ogun State to participate in this year's Hajj exercise.

This is coming ahead of May 9 commencement date for the airlift of 43,000 Nigerian intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.

NAHCON spokesperson Fatima Usara, in a statement, said each State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board have fixed for the commencement dates.

Usara explained that a total of 675 contingents from Ogun State will be airlifted through FlyNas airline.

She added that Pilgrims from Ogun will fly alongside other Pilgrims from Lagos, Osun, Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

According to her, the airline will deploy no fewer than nine of its aircrafts for the spiritual exercise.

Usara, however, said the 2025 Hajj airlift arrangements are based on a total of 43,000 slots available for the Hajj exercise.
