Expect more dividends of democracy in Ibarapa North/Central, Adepoju assures constituents
A House of Representatives member representing Ibarapa North and Central Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has assured his constituents of more dividends of democracy.
According to the national lawmaker, the residents in the Constituency deserved more benefits from their representatives in all levels of government.
Adepoju, who gave the assurance while speaking during his Ramadan Lecture held in Igboora, said all the successes being attributed to him were recorded with the supports of the residents in the area.
The Igboora born politician explained the event is the demonstration of his commitment to the religious harmony and unity in the Constituency.
He, however, asked the people to embrace religious tolerance among themselves in other to create conducive environment for developmental programmes and initiatives .
Chairman of the event, Ogun State commissioner for Sports, Hon Wasiu Isiaka, commended Ibarapa Kan as fondly called for organizing Ramadan Lecture despite being a Christian.
Isiaka, who is the APC Chieftain in Ogun State, also applauded Adepoju for the appointment of Alhaji Ibrahim Adesope and others for various religions in the area.
The Guest Speaker, Fadilatu Shayk Muh Farouq Olawale Hamzat popularly known as Elfaaruqqy Agba, while speaking on the lecture titled "Rewards for a good leadership, Islamic perspective" asked political leaders to be wary of the consequences of their actions and inactions while in office.
The cleric added that God will reward each person, especially those in position of authorities at the end of their stay on earth.
Dignitaries in attendance at the event include Ogun State Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperative, Hon Ademola Balogun, Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government, Hon Lateef Akorede, represented by his Vice, Hon Bisi Akande, His Ibarapa Central counterpart, Hon Sola Adeleke, political leaders and followers, traditional rulers, among others.
