BREAKING: Okupe dies at 72

Former presidential spokesman, Dr. Doyin Okupe, has died.

Okupe died at the age of 72.

Details of his death was still sketchy but was confirmed by the family source who claimed anonymity on Friday, 7th March, 2025.

Okupe served as the spokesman to former President Goodluck Jonathan.

He was appointed as the Director-General of Peter Obi’s Presidential Campaign under the Labour Party.

Okupe, however, resigned the appointment following his conviction for money laundering charge ahead of the 2023 Presidential poll.

He finally dumped the Oni and Labour Party after the poll, citing ideologies differences.
