APC praises Buhari for party loyalty

 

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has praised former President Muhammadu Buhari for reaffirming his commitment to the ruling party amidst defection rumours.

This followed the growing political realignments ahead of the 2027 general polls.

Buhari has recently declared that he remained a committed APC member and will do assist in strengthening the party that gave him the platform to lead Nigeria for two terms.

APC, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, described Buhari's stance as a demonstration of integrity and party loyalty.

Morka explained that the party commended the former President for swiftly disassociating himself from individuals attempting to link him with “nonplussed political choices.”

The statement read in part, “The All Progressives Congress greets and commends former President Muhammadu Buhari for his solid reaffirmation of loyalty to our great party. In a statement of Thursday, March 13, 2025, the former President stated, ‘I am an APC member, and I like to be addressed as such. I will try to popularise the party by all means.’

“We applaud the former President for swiftly clearing the air and putting distance to efforts by certain individuals to tacitly associate him with their nonplussed political choices.”

Morka, however, asked party members to emulate Buhari’s example by demonstrating unwavering dedication to the APC.
