Elder Joju Fadairo Denies Purported Adebutu's Endorsement, Faults Foreigner, Stranger Report

The Chieftain of ruling of All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Joju Fadairo, has faulted the purported endorsement of the Governorship Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Ladi Adebutu, as most qualified candidate to lead Ogun State in 2027.

This followed the widespread reaction which followed the viral report credited to former PDP State Chairman, claiming that no foreigner or stranger will be allowed to become Governor or hold sensitive political positions in Ogun state in 2027.

However, Fadairo was reacting to the statement released on the social media by team of Ladi Adebutu shortly after receiving him at his private residence in Abeokuta, described the claims attributed to him as false and misleading.

The APC Chieftain explained that the report remained a fabrication of the Adebutu’s team in an attempt to malign his character and reputation.

The Asiwaju of Ifoland and Fiwagboye of Egbaland, added that he will not at his age and exposure make such statement capable of creating acrimony in the state ahead of the polls.

‘People can say anything. I never said such I have received series of telephone calls Any reasonable person will not think like that. It was not true, it’s a lie, tissues of lies. How on earth at my level would I say that. I won’t allow anybody to soil my reputation. I am a decent person. The word stranger never came from my mouth’, he said.

Elder Fadairo, however, frowned at what he described as dirty politics, being exhibited by followers of Adebutu to have conjured up fake statement and credited such to him.
