Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu Donates 500Kva Transformer To Harmony Estate, Ikangba, IJebu Ode

Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu yesterday, Wednesday 10th June 2026, donated a brand new 500KVA transformer to residents of Harmony Estate, Ikangba, Ijebu Ode. 

The intervention ends over five years of darkness that affected Harmony Estate and five adjoining communities who had been cut off from steady power supply despite repeated appeals. 

Speaking during the handover, the representatives of Hon. Adebutu, Hon Seye Sonuga fondly called "Baba Toaster" said the gesture reflects his commitment to practical solutions that restore dignity and improve daily living for Ogun citizens. 

For the affected households, small businesses, and students, the restoration of electricity means businesses can operate longer hours, children can study at night, and families can enjoy basic comforts that have been missing for years.

The donation was received with gratitude by community leaders, landlords associations, and residents who described it as a direct response to their long-standing challenge.

They noted that several administrations had promised solutions but none delivered until now. 

The six communities within the Ikangba axis have largely depended on generators and alternative sources, a cost many families and traders could no longer sustain. 

With the new transformer, the area can reconnect to the national grid and begin the process of rebuilding economic activity and social life that power outages had stalled.
