Engr. Olusina Agbaje Bags Fellow of Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers

Engr. Olusina Agbaje has been conferred with the prestigious Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (FNICE).

The experienced engineer was among distinguished Civil Engineers in Nigeria conferred with the Fellow of the Engineering body, an integral arm of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, NSE, in charge of the profession of Civil Engineering in the Country.

Engr. Agbaje’s conferment was performed by the National leadership of NICE as part of the 2nd Engr Sen. Adefemi Kila colloquium held at the Nigerian Society of Engineers Headquarters, National Engineering Centre, Central Business District, Abuja.

The ceremony was attended by very distinguished Personalities from various sectors of the economy across Nigeria and beyond.

In his citation at the occasion, Engr. Agbaje was described as a highly regarded professional who has contributed immensely to the development of the Civil Engineering profession in Ogun State, Nigeria and globally.

His excellent performance and outstanding achievements had earned him numerous prestigious awards that included the NICE Fellowship award, the Conferment of the Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Professional Engineers.

After some years of practice, he became qualified to register for the most prestigious professional examination in Engineering, Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and passed, which entitled him to use the prefix Engr. before his name.

Engr. Agbaje while speaking with the newsmen on the sideline of the ceremony, expressed his joy over the achievement.

"By the virtue of my conferment of the Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers, I have just gotten into the apex of my Engineering Profession, and I am quite happy, and I give God all the glory,” Engr. happily said.

Engr. Agbaje, who is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, MNSE, described the relationship between NSE and NICE as a Family relationship, adding that Nigerian Society of Engineers is a bigger Umbrella that covers all other Engineering professions, while Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers is strictly and specifically for Civil Engineers.

He described the conferment of the distinguished fellow of NICE as a challenge, saying that to whom more is given, much is expected.

“this prestigious honor bestowed on me today is a challenge to do more because in the society, if you are address as a Fellow of Nigerian Society of Engineers or fellow of Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers, anyone around you look at you as someone who has gotten to the top of their field and can proffer solution to any Engineering problem,

“By so doing, it also becomes a challenge for me to widen my scope in research in engineering with a view to living up to the expectations,” he stated.
