Former Reps Member, Muraina Ajibola, Sets To Train, Empower Food Vendors Across Ibarapa

Former Member of the House of Representatives for Ibarapa Central/Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. Dr Muraina Ajibola Saubana, is set to train food vendors across Ibarapa Zone.

According to him, the exercise which include a comprehensive food safety, handling and production training and empowerment, is scheduled to hold tomorrow 29th December, 2025.

Hon. Muraina, in a statement by his desk office, said the exercise will focus on practical training to further enhance and promote effective food processing and good culture of hygiene among food vendors in Ibarapa region.

The three times House of Reps Member explained that beneficiaries of the training program will alongside the practical training receive empowerment support for their food vending businesses. 

He added that his boundless passion for food security and poverty alleviation as one of the keys to sustainable human capital development.

"Food is the backbone of life and nobody can survive without proper feeding. It is also not just to eat but to eat safe and highly hygienic foods. 

“When they are trained and empowered with the right skills through avenue like this, there will be good assurance for a healthy lifestyle and reduction of health issues resulting from consumption of poisonous or not properly cooked food. This is why we have continued to invest in training and empowerment of all major stakeholders for community development, not for political gain, but for the betterment of our people".

The former national Lawmaker further reiterated his commitments to facilitating beneficial programs for the people of his region, irrespective of their age, status and political parties. 

Hon. Muraina who was the former chairman of the House Committees on Power and Petroleum (Upstream) boasted that his record of service reflects a consistent pattern of grassroots engagement, youth empowerment, and community upliftment, values have earned him respect across political divides in Ibarapa and beyond.
