NNPP Chieftain, Abioro, Plays Down Defection Rumour, Assures Supporters Of Committment To Party
A Chieftain of the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP ), Hon. Abioro Damilare Athande, has asked his political supporters to remained calm in the party ahead of 2027 general polls.
This is coming after top leaders in the party, especially the 2023 Governorship Candidate of the party, Amb. Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo and South West Spokesman of the NNPP, Hon. Badmus Kilamuwaye, had recently dumped the party.
Abioro, in a statement he personally signed, said he remained committed to the party, asking his supporters to remained loyal to the party.
He explained that while there have been pressure in some quartres that he should change the political platforms ahead of the general polls, he will continue to support NNPP which his political platform brought him to limelight politically.
The Politician added that instead of dumping the party, he has embarked on consultation with the relevant stakeholders on the next move in the party.

"I have been inaundated with calls and discussion about political consultation ahead of the next move towards my political ambition in the coming general election, all I can tell my fans is that I still remained a committed member and a stakeholder in the New Nigeria People's Party, NNPP
"NNPP is the political party that brought me to political limelights and I will never betray the opportunity giving him and that is the reasons I am not in hurry to decamp from the party to another political party despite the pressures and unwarranted circumstances.
"I pledged to be loyal to my political leaders, spiritual leader, families, friends, political followers and fans across the world
Abioro assured his followers and those who believes in his political career ambitions, that he's ready to study the technical aspects despite his experiences in the theoretical aspects before making any decisions.
