"Youths Must Start Thinking Like Entreprenuers" - Engr. Ajisafe Tells Students

The Chief Executive Officer of Dynasty 89.9 FM, Oyo, Alhaji (Engr) Akeem Abiodun Ajisafe, has called on Nigerian Youth, especially the students to embrace entrepreneurship as a means to address the level of unemployment in the country.

According to him, the youths must erase the mindset of seeking for the while collar jobs which is not available.

Engineer Ajisafe who made the call while delivering his lecture on the topic “Beyond The Classroom” at this year’s week of Nigerian University of Education Students Association (NUESA), The University of Ibadan, Federal College of Education Chapter, asked the students to have mindset of working for themselves.

The Media and Business Mogul explained that the youth must start preparing for the life after graduation while they are still within the four walls of the school.

He added that the youths must imbibe the culture of turning challenges to opportunities, becoming problem solvers instead of joining the wailers on the problems they can provide solutions to.

“You do not need to start a company before you can start thinking like an entrepreneur, see problems as opportunities, be active and not reactive, own your future and not outsource it.

“Your career does not start after graduation, it starts now, start thinking like an owner of a business, because the world is not waiting for your degree instead the world is waiting for your positive impact”, Ajisafe said.

The Student Union also honoured Ajisafe with Honouring Impact Award for his support and contribution to the association and society.

The highlife of the event include the donation of cash for five students in the sum of N100,000 each, the sum of N1 million for the Union, as well as the sum of N500,000 each for both the Student Union Government of the institution and the Students with the special needs.
