JUST IN: Ladoja Emerges New Olubadan-In-Waiting
Former Governor Rasidi Ladoja of Oyo State has now emerged as the
Olubadan of Ibadan in waiting.
The good development followed the demise of Oba Olakulehin, who
joined his ancestors, barely two days after celebrating his 90th
birthday.
Ladoja, who is the most senior of the High Chiefs and next
in line to become Olubadan, was crowned as Oba last August to pave way for
him to ascend the revered throne.
The Otun Olubadan will succeed late Oba Olakulehin who
received the staff of office from Governor Seyi Makinde, on July 12, 2024, as
the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Oba Olakulehin ascended the throne from the chieftancy line of
Balogun and he will be succeeded by Ladoja from Otun Line.
