Dangote Submits Paperwork To Construct Biggest, Deepest Seaport In Ogun State
President of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has
submitted paperwork to build the biggest and deepest seaport in Ogun State.
The proposed Atlantic seaport is located in Olokola area in Ogun
Waterside area of the state.
Dangote, in an interview with Bloomberg, said the company has
applied to begin work at proposed site of the project
The Businessman explained that the plan to build the biggest
and deepest port in the state has reached an advanced stage after the paperwork
had been submitted for permission last June.
He added that the initiative would ease the export of goods including
liquefied natural gas (LPG) and support the rapid growth of his industrial
empire.
“It’s not that we want to do everything by ourselves, but I
think doing this will encourage other entrepreneurs to come into it,” he said.
It would be recalled that Dangote had last March hinted that he was back to constructing facilities in the due Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State friendliness to investors.
