Ibarapa North LG Vice Chairman, Hon. Bisi Akande Felicitates Muslims on 2025 Eid-el-Kabir Celebration

The Vice Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government in Oyo State, Hon. Bisi Akande, has extended heartfelt greetings to Muslim faithful in the local government area and across Nigeria on the occasion of the 2025 Eid-el-Kabir festival. 

In a statement released on Friday 6 June, 2025, Hon. Akande expressed gratitude to Allah for granting Muslims the opportunity to witness this significant event.

The Vice Chairman urged Muslims to reflect on the profound lessons of sacrifice, obedience, and devotion exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim during this period. 

He emphasized the importance of selflessness and service to humanity, encouraging the faithful to rededicate themselves to acts of charity and communal harmony.

Hon. Akande also called for continued prayers for the peace, unity, and progress of Oyo State and Nigeria in general.

'Ileri Oluwa' as fondly called highlighted the significance of the festival as a reminder of the collective responsibility to uphold values that promote societal well-being.

"The Eid-el-Kabir celebration, also known as the "Ileya", holds deep religious significance for Muslims worldwide. 

"It commemorates Prophet Ibrahim's unwavering faith and willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah's command", he said.
