Death Toll From Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Accident in Oyo Hits 15

The death toll from Tuesday’s tragic accident at the Soka area of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Oyo State has reportedly risen to between 10 and 15.

This is a sharp increase in the casualty figure from the initial five confirmed by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

Governor Seyi Makinde, who gave the updated figure during the lying-in-state and executive session held in honour of former Governor Omololu Olunloyo, described the incident as a monumental loss.

Makinde while extending condolences to the families of the victims, called for a minute of silence in their honour.
