2027 Poll: PDP, LP Lose Reps Members To APC
Two members of the House of Representatives have dumped
their parties to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The two members are Peter Akpanke, a member of the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) representing Obanliku/Obudu/ Beware federal constituency
of Cross River State and Professor Paul Nnamchi of Labour Party representing
Enugu East/Isi Uzo federal constituency of Enugu State.
While Akpanke attributed his decision to dump PDP to the
protracted crisis rocking the party which has defied solution, Nnamchi also blamed
his exit from the Labour Party on the leadership crisis.
Speaker of the House, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, read the letter
of defection of the two lawmakers during the Tuesday plenary.
