Man to die by hanging for killing friend in fight over cap in Kano

A man, identified as Adamu Isma’ila Arzai, is to die by hanging for killing his friend during a fight over a cap in Kano State. 

The prosecutor, Wahida Isma’il, had told the Court that the incident happened in 2016 when Arzai and the victim, Auwal Shehu Kabara, were on their way to Bauchi for a business trip.

He added that a sudden disagreement occurred among the due and in the process Arzai stabbed Kabara.

Justice Muhammad Musa Karaye, in his judgment, ruled that the prosecution had proven the case beyond reasonable doubt and found Arzai guilty of murder.

He, however,  sentenced the convict to death by hanging.
