2025 Hajj : 423 Ogun Pilgrims arrive Saudi Arabia
The first batch of Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims participating in this year's Hajj exercise has arrived in Saudi Arabia.
The 423 pilgrims arrived at the Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport on Monday, May 12th, 2025, for the spiritual exercise.
Executive Secretary of the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board,(OGMPWB), Alhaji Ajibola Taiwo, in a statement by the Board's Spokesperson, Mariam Yusuf, made this known during a chat with Newsmen in Abeokuta, the state capital, said other will soon be airlifted for the their Holy pilgrimage.
Taiwo explained that all pilgrims had been allocated rooms to rest after the six-hour journey from Nigeria to Medina.
"All pilgrims arrived in Medina after an approximately six-hour journey and have been allocated their rooms. They are prepared for the sacred rituals ahead,’’ he said.
He advised them to be worthy ambassadors of the State and the Nation, emphasising the importance of compliance with the directives of Hajj officials.
