Ogun: Again, renewed cult clashes claim another life in Odeda

 


The renewed cult clashes in Ogun State has claimed another life in Odeda area of the state.

The victim of the recurring supremacy battle between the rival cult groups Aiye and Eiye Confraternity in the state was yet-to-be-identified.

This is coming barely two weeks after about four persons were feared killed at various locations at Alogi, Somorin and Obantoko areas of Abeokuta, the state capital 

Source sakdythe fresh clash occurred on Saturday night, at opposite a fuel station located at Camp area of the metropolis, leaving one person dead. 

They explained that the victim was attacked while riding on a motorcycle when some hoodlums armed with dangerous weapons attacked him.

According to him, the victim was shot dead and left him in a pool of his blood.

However, the residents in the area alleged that the victim was a member of one of the warring cult groups.

Meanwhile, Police team was immediately deployed to restore order in the area because of the tension that followed the incident.

The State Police Command is yet to speak on the incident.
