NGO donates food items, cash to less privileged in Ogun during Ramadan
A community-based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), the Initiative for Women and Children of Hope in Nigeria, has distributed food packages and cash donations to over 70 elderly, widows, widowers, and less privileged individuals in Abeokuta and its environs.
The guesture, according to the Initiative which has been in the forefront of providing humanitarian services to the less privileged in the society, is part of efforts to mark this year's Ramadan.
Founder of the NGO, Dr. Musa Titilayo Monsurat, the gesture was part of the organization's efforts to alleviate the sufferings of the needy during the holy month of Ramadan.
Dr. Monsurat explained that the NGO also provided 40-50 plates of Iftar meals to the downtrodden for four consecutive Fridays during the fasting month.
She prayed that Allah accepts the organization's efforts as an act of ibadah (worship) and continues to guide and bless their endeavors.
The beneficiaries, who were visibly elated, thanked the NGO for the kind gesture, praying that Allah rewards them abundantly.
