BREAKING: Fubara meets Wike, allegedly begs for forgiveness, reconciliation
The suspended Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State has met with his predecessor and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
Wike and the governor who is his political son has been at loggerhead over the supremacy battle on political structure in the state.
The political turmoils in the oil rich state had forced President Bola Tinubu to declare the state of emergency in the state, suspending the governor and other elected lawmakers for the six months.
The meeting held at Wike’s residence in Abuja, also has in attendance Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State and his Ebonyi State counterpart, Francis Nwifuru as well as former governor of Ogun, Aremo Olusegun Osoba.
Sources privy to the meeting said Fubara on getting to the residence headed into Wike’s living room to beg the Minister.
The details of the meeting is not made public.
However, the good development is expected to put an end to the long running battle between the two political gladiators as well as political crisis rocking the state.
