Gateway ICT Poly’s Mass Comm. Lecturer, Saheed Tajudeen, Becomes Sub-Dean Students Affairs
A Lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication at Gateway ICT Polytechnic, Saapade, Mr. Saheed Tajudeen, has been elevated to the position of Sub-Dean Students Affairs.
The appointment was contained in a letter signed by the institution Registrar, Dr. Julius Oluseyi Popoola.
Dr Popoola, in the letter, while congratulating Tajudeen, said his appointment is with immediate effect.
Until his appointment, Mr. Tajudeen had served in various capacities within the institution, including as NAMACOS Staff Adviser, member of the Orientation Committee, and member of the Convocation Committee, member Accreditation Committee, NAMACOS Sports Coordinator, GAPOSA E-Corps' member, Red Cross Society of Nigeria GAPOSA detachment among others.
Reacting to the appointment, Tajudeen expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the institution's Rector, Dr. Sanni Kehinde Oseni, the Registrar, Dr. Julius Oluseyi Popoola, Liberian, Dr. Mrs Christy Adeeko, Bursar Alhaji Waheed Gbadamosi and Head of Mass Communication Department, Mrs Adefunke Arowosegbe.
Others are Director Academic Planning Unit (APU), Mr. Emmanuel Oladapo Solaru and Dean, Directorate of Students Affairs (DSA), Dr. Adedayo Musari.
It will be recalled that Tajudeen was recently awarded Best Staff Adviser of the Year in recognition of his commitment, mentorship, and consistent support for students.
The Young Lecturer is also widely respected on campus for his positive influence both within and beyond the classroom, the attitude which earned him an ambassadorial deal with RAEDER Organisation, a Lagos-based fashion outfit renowned for promoting creativity, excellence, and youth empowerment.
The ambassadorial appointment was to celebrate his professional impact and elegant appearance during the Social Activities Week.
