One Dies, Five Injure In Fatal Autocrash Along Ijebu-Ode/Ibadan Expressway
One person lost his life in a fatal autocrash along Ijebu-Ode/Ibadan
Expressway in Ogun state.
Five others were also injured during the incident which occurred
at the old Faari filling station inbound Oru Junction involving a black Toyota car
marked APP 963 GU.
Spokesperson of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and
Enforcement Agency (TRACE), Commander Babatunde Akinbiyi, who confirmed the
incident to newsmen in Abeokuta, the state capita, said the victim died on the
spot.
Akinbiyi attributed the cause of the accident to excessive
speed on the part of the driver.
The TRACE image maker explained that the driver while on top
speed lost the control of the vehicle and in the process somersaulted into the
bush.
According to him, the body of the dead victim had been
deposited in the morgue of the Ijebu-Ode General Hospital, while the injured
victims were rushed to the Ola Oluwa Hospital in Ago Iwoye, Ogun State.
