TESCOM Renews Commitment to Collaboration with Education Stakeholders
The Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has pledged to sustain its partnership with stakeholders in the education sector in the state .
It also assured them of continued collaboration aimed at advancing academic excellence across schools in the state.
Chairman of the Commission, Apostle Abiodun Sanyaolu, gave the assurance while receiving the executive members of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU), in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
Sanyaolu commended the contributions of various educational bodies in supporting the state government’s policies and programmes.
He added that such efforts have significantly reflected in the improved performance of both teaching and non-teaching staff in their respective duty posts.
According to the TESCOM boss, the present board has introduced initiatives and welfare packages designed to enhance productivity within the teaching workforce.
“This agency is passionate about boosting the morale of our school administrators, teachers, and non-teaching staff. We will not relent in organising capacity-building programmes, workshops, seminars, and other impactful programmes that will enable them to compete favourably with their counterparts globally", he said.
He promised that all educational unions and associations under TESCOM’s purview of equitable treatment, and provision of their deserved benefits from government, adding that the commission would address their concerns without delay.
Earlier in his address, the Chairman, NASU, Comrade Olumide Oduneye, congratulated the TESCOM Chairman and board members on their appointment, expressing the union’s desire to sustain its partnership with the Commission.
He urged the board to prioritise the recruitment of additional non-teaching staff to address manpower gaps in schools, review career progression structure for Executive Officers, along with other measures aimed at strengthening school operations and improving overall efficiency in the state’s education system.
