Day Waterman College Emerges Winner Of 2025 World Mathematics Invitational Olympiad in Thailand


A student of Day Waterman College, Ugoeze Ogbodo, has been crowned as the World Champion at the 2025 World Mathematics Invitational Olympiad in Bangkok, Thailand.

This prestigious event brought together over 1,000 of the brightest young mathematicians from across the globe.

The journey began on February 26, 2025, when our students delivered an exceptional performance in the first round, securing qualification for the grand finals held in Bangkok, Thailand, from July 23 to July 28, 2025. 

Flying the flag for Day Waterman College and Nigeria, Miss Ugoeze Ogbodo competed in an intense and highly challenging contest that required months of rigorous preparation. 

"The feat, according to the management of Day Waterman College, is an extraordinary global achievement at the 2025 World Mathematics Invitational Olympiad.

"Her success is a reflection not only of her exceptional talent and determination but also of the dedication, skill, and passion of our outstanding Mathematics Department.

"We are proud to announce that Miss Ugoeze Ogbodo emerged as the World Champion, earning the Gold Medal and claiming the top position globally.
