Abiodun Commends Babcock University for 2025 Gateway Games Supports

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has commended Babcock University Ilisan-Remo area of the State for providing significant logistical support in hosting the 2025 Gateway Games. 

The University will be venue for all the in-door games including the table tennis league during the event which brings together approximately 10,000 athletes from 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) between May 18 to 30.

Abiodun, who made the commendations during a visit to the university, which is serving as the games village, described the facility and logistics as impressive.

The Governor while praising the institution's efforts, said feedback received so far has been positive.

"I know there might be a few bumps here and there, but from the reports I've heard and seen, things seem to be moving in the right direction."

The University's President/Vice-Chancellor, Prof Ademola Tayo represented by the Associate Vice President Student Support, Prof. Tolani Williams was on hand to receive the Governor.

Others were Director of Babcock Security, Dr. Chukwumah Ajike, Director of Protocol and Logistics, Mr. Isaac Osuntade, and Director of Food Services, Dr. Feyi Alade, received the governor and his entourage who paid an on-the-spot assessment visit to the central cafeteria. 

In response to his enquiry, Dr. Alade assured that meals were served on time and in a top hygienic environment.
