Tinubu approves two new private varsities in Ogun, nine others

 

President Bola Tinubu has approved provisional licenses for the establishment of two new private universities in Ogun State.

The new institutions are part of the 11 new private universities approved for establishment in Nigeria.

Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Sunday Dare, said Tinubu granted the approvals during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Monday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Dare named the two newly approved private universities in the Gateway State as New City University, Ayetoro, Ogun State and Monarch University, Iyesi-Ota, Ogun State

The Presidential spokesman list other newly approved private universities to include University of Fortune, Igbotako, Ondo State, Eranova University, Mabushi, Abuja, Minaret University, Ikirun, Osun State and Abubakar Toyin University, Oke-Agba, Kwara State.

Also on the list, according to him, are Southern Atlantic University, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Lens University, Ilemona, Kwara State, Tonnie Iredia University of Communication, Benin City, Edo State, Isaac Balami University of Aeronautics and Management, Lagos State and Kevin Eze University, Mgbowo, Enugu State

“President Tinubu is committed to expanding the frontiers of Educational opportunities and infrastructure,” the statement read.
