JUST IN: Fuel tanker explosion kills two in Ibadan

 

No fewer than two persons have lost their lives in an explosion by the petroleum laden tanker in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The victim including the driver and his motor boy died during the tragic incident which occurred during the early hours of Tuesday at the New Garage area, Oluyole local government area of the city.

The tragic incident has thrown the entire people in the neighborhood into a state of mourning after the initial scampering for safety by the people in the area.

Operatives of the Oyo State Fire Service, with the assistance of other security agencies, are still battling to prevent the fire from spreading to other commercial outlets and residential buildings in the area.

The incident has disrupted human and vehicular movements in the area.
